revised comments
Hi, this is a revised review of the earlier comments I made. I unfairly compared it with an old FS2000 Liverpool John Lennon by a different author. Apart from two visual mistakes - the lack of the 'Liverpool' sign on runway side of terminal building, which greets arriving passengers, and the wrong placing of the 'boxes' - offices of apron staff, which should be to the right of the terminal building (from the runway side) and not on the left here, it's a pretty remarkable rendition of the real John Lennon airport. All the terminal buildings (including the new extenstion built some years ago) are present. Other recognisable landmarks include the car parks and detailed road ways (and roundabout on entry/exit) and of course the Royal Mail depot. Flying over the airport and comparing it with real life overhead photographs of the airport, you'll be hard pressed to tell them apart! Oh, one mistake I made in the previous review, I said the new Air Traffic control tower was not featured. In fact, it is correctly positioned opposite the main terminal building on the other side of the runway, but the old tower is still present, as in the real airport. And there's no real issue with frame rates either. I was testing under extreme weather conditions, and that slows the frame rate down for the default scenery. And anyway, taxiing at 17 fps is no big deal. As far as I'm aware, this is the only version of Liverpool John Lennon airport available for FS2004. Thankfully, it's pretty damn good and if used in conjunction with the authors other Liverpool scenery - http://www.vfraddons.co.uk/vfrtable_view.php?CountySearch=Lancashire You've got well detailed square miles of authentic Liverpool scenery free of charge! Good stuff. 5/5 Note: Be aware some of the authors other scenery is aligned to the third party Visual Flight / Getmapping VFR Scenery published by Just Flight. Be sure to read the instructions if you don't have this third party software, otherwise there will be alignment issues to resolve in the FS2004 default scenery, particularly with coastline buildings. There are no alignment issues with this airport; it works well with the default scenery.

Not as good as it should be
I did have a version of this airport a few years on FS2000 and I seem to remember the big 'Liverpool' sign on the main airport terminal. I also remember a lot more detail than the present incarnation, yet despite running a fairly high spec machine, I'm only getting a frame rate of between 12 and 16 fps. And yes, I have all the scenery settings on 'extremely dense' becuause I'm running a high spec machine. I'm also seeing overlap of the runway (near number 09) over the default scenery (which I guess accounts for the overall slow frame rate?). And if this wasn't bad enough, the position of the Air traffic control tower is wrong. Umm..Hello??!! The new tower was built two years ago and is now on the opposite side of the runway. So, overall it's a fair rendition of the airport, and was fine five years ago on FS2000, but this version is simply not up to scratch for FS2004. 2/5

Even better
I already liked the other versions, and this version just almost touches the upper limit.
