  v-RAF.co.uk Merge with UKAF.net
Posted or last updated on Friday, September 9 2005 @ 9:58 AM (-0500 GMT)

v-RAF.co.uk is merging with UKAF.net. This is very, very exciting, this will bring on added resources, more pilots and plenty of help with future operations. This will make v-RAF.co.uk unique from any other Military VA and will contribute to make v-RAF.co.uk the best and most realistic Military VA around.

With this merge, 2 new wings will eventually be formed, the first will be The Joint Helicopter Wing flying aircraft from all 3 Military Services. The first 4 aircraft will be the Chinook HC.2, Apache AH-64, Puma and Seaking. All these aircraft will be utilised in a variety of different roles such as: SAR, Troop Transport, Light and Medium Lift Roles, Vehicle Transport etc. Soon to come will be the Merlin and Lynx helicopters will contribute to SAR, Troop Transport, AEW etc.

Also, soon to come in the not so distant future will be The Joint Harrier Force flying The Sea Harrier FA.2 and Harrier GR.9 of the Fleet Air Arm and Royal Air Force (Respectively). This will increase v-RAF's capabilites in Operations and Worldwide Air Support. The JHF will conduct a variety of sorties from Ground Attack to Reconaissance working with The Joint Helicopter Wing in support of their operations over sea and land.
