“What a fabulous package Abacus has put together," said CAP Executive Director Don Rowland, a former Air Force Pilot. "In addition to being able to 'pilot' CAP's new glass cockpit-equipped Cessna 182, users can also choose different search targets, such as a missing aircraft or a burning house, and different search locations. Bottom line is this new SAR module is going to be a great source of entertainment, as well as an awesome introductory training tool for CAP members."
“Civil Air Patrol's partnership with Abacus has produced another first!" stated Civil Air Patrol National Commander Maj. Gen. Antonio J. Pineda. Besides being able to fly the CAP colors in Microsoft Flight Simulator, owners of the new Civil Air Patrol Search & Rescue expansion package will be able to 'fly' realistic search and rescue missions. It's an exciting development that bodes well for both organizations, especially when you consider this incredible add-on package will also help enhance public awareness of one of America's premier volunteer organizations and provide tangible benefits to the CAP Cadet program"
